Painting by 'not knowing' suggests that anything goes anytime. However, for each respective painted series I sharpen this freedom through a centralising theme. Indeterminate practice is one way to ask (and be answered), who may I become when actively in-relation with something else? Or, taking the 'I' out of it, to what fluid degree, or within which contextual shaping, are things (myself included) part-of or apart-from?
